Digital C-Store Endcap with Animation and Lights

CHALLENGE

The client needed a dynamic, engaging display to draw more customer attention to Mondelez suite of product in C-stores, alert them of special sales and additional complementary product offerings, maximize merchandisable product load on the display, while solving local product supply chain issues by promoting digital content of targeted products at each individual location.

SUMMARY

  • Designed in US, produced in China, bulk shipped in pieces for maximum efficiency. Units were assembled in central US warehouse. Units were distributed directly to store fully assembled for easy plug and play installation.
  • The C-store endcap was constructed of metal and clear plastic side panels with Mondelez product logos. The curved shapes and blue accent color, with silver tubing, highlight a large digital monitor affied to top of display.
  • Utilizes independent cellular connection with centralized CMS software in order to seamlessly update content remotely in real-time without reliance on inconsistent store Wi-Fi signal strength.
  • The display features a mix of adjustable shelving and peg hooks to merchandise the various Mondelez product offerings. Under the shelf lighting and colored floor lighting enhances the display aesthetic appeal.
  • The localized messaging promotes local occasion-based content, targeted products, brand and C-store chain specials. The content on the screen can match the exact product mix available at each individual location.

RESULTS

The ability to stop customers with the dynamic display design, prominently placed digital player and effect lighting, has proven to increase sales. This flexible display has been able to cut through the visual clutter in C-stores and promote localized product and help retailer with supply chain challenges.

Mondelez has seen significant sales lift with this digital endcap compared to traditional static displays. Retailers comment on how the high-end look and feel, including technologically advanced-digital content has added positive consumer perception of their stores. This perceived value has led to placing this high end, endcap in a premier location in their store.
