Case study

Three sides. One impression.

Pepsi needed an end cap that worked from every angle a shopper could approach it, and carried the new brand identity while it did.

The brief

Pepsi asked for a dynamic, three-sided branded end cap built to stop traffic and drive impulse purchases across its core brands. It had to launch the updated color palette and the new dimensional Pepsi Pulse logo, fit standard retailer end cap footprints, hold serious volume, stay shoppable from three sides, and remain cost-effective: all while accommodating a product mix that runs from single-serve bottles to 24-packs.

What we built

The front header carries the Pepsi Pulse logo in three dimensional layers: logo mark and rings stacked to create the ripple, pop and fizz the brand wanted. Two dimensional side headers set the wordmark vertically against black panels, so the brand registers in a single glance from either aisle. A high-gloss reflective finish catches store light and reads as movement.

Inside, electric blue shelving: angled and flat: floats on black internal uprights with low-voltage power running through them to under-shelf LEDs. The uprights carry both load and current, so the lighting has no visible source. Top shelves on all three sides are gravity-fed, letting a shopper pull a 2-liter without reaching. Shelf graphic inserts are interchangeable, so the fixture re-brands without being rebuilt, and the shelving adjusts as the product mix changes.

The structure is tubular and sheet metal under a high-gloss powder coat, specified for the weight of full beverage packs at high turn rates.

Results

The display met the footprint retailers required while holding more product than the space suggests. The dimensional headers and side logo marks did the work they were designed to do: brand impression first, impulse purchase second, and gave Pepsi a physical showcase for its modern identity at shelf.

More than 1,000 units were produced across 2023–24, placed in supermarkets and big-box retailers including Walmart, ShopRite and Kroger. It now anchors beverage aisles across the chain.
