URID strongly believes in doing its part to help lead the world to a GREENER WORLD.
To achieve these objectives, we have instituted the following Initiatives.
Lighting at Unified
Factory, Warehouse and Offices are 100% LED. This initiative was completed in 2018. LEDs are significantly more energy efficient and last longer too dramatically reducing not the Company’s carbon footprint.
Getting to Work
Telecommuting continues to shift how the country works, growing nearly 80 percent between 2005 and 2012, according to GlobalWorkplaceAnalytics.com. While work/life balance is often cited as a key benefit to the work at home employee, the Green benefits are substantial. Reduced gas emissions – and reduced use of energy for heating, air conditioning and computing in the office.
Heating Systems at Unified
We have installed and maintain all new heating units thru all of our offices, factories and warehouses to save on greenhouse gases and energy costs while producing healthier and cleaner heat.
